Refugee, you're running for your life,
Fleeing your country into the unkown,
Cut loose from all that you loved.

With hope you fled to the sea,
But washed up on the beach,
Losing everything you had.

Now you're in my country,
Put away in a barbwired camp
Waiting and waiting for new sun to shine.

Refugee... Please... Hold on...



I took this shot last sunday in Montfort, Limburg, the Netherlands. It's a 20 cm high mushroom at the edge of a meadow, the words I wrote the 28th of November 2016.
It's a small protest against the inhuman treat refugees get these days...
